Veils and fairy tales
She danced while he unraveled her fairy tales, untangled the covers she had spun in her head and unwrapped her darkest dreams and passions.
She danced until he took hold of the final layers of her shell, the last veil, the final mask. And he picked at seams and tugged at strings until she could hide no more.
She danced until she threw him her mask and he showed her freedom and happiness at his feet.
Where she belonged.
And then she danced.
